Phil Sheridan came to the Biofuels Center of North Carolina after eight years in economic development. Sheridan was with the N.C. Department of Commerce as the life science recruiter, and then served at BioNetwork, the N.C. Community College System’s biotechnology industry training initiative. He serves the Biofuels Center as director of industry development where he is promoting company recruitment, business development, and industry support interconnections across North Carolina. Prior to his economic development work, Sheridan provided business planning and market research services for several small companies, designed bridges for an engineering firm, and worked as an aerospace engineer for NASA. He holds an MBA degree from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maine.
