Biodiesel Feedstock Harvesting and Production Improvements - Catawba County

Catawba County, in conjunction with Appalachian State University, is committed to advancing biodiesel research, development and production in North Carolina.  This project will help the County and University increase biodiesel feedstock crop yields and harvest crops more efficiently.  Increased efficiency will be achieved through contractual agreement with experienced local farmer to manage fields, purchasing field preparation equipment and new grain carts, and installing a new wet storage tank and conditioned storage grain silo.
