Statewide Agriculture and Forestry Feedstock Capabilities
A top priority for the Biofuels Center and its partners is identifying North Carolina’s feedstock and biomass capabilities. Biofuels facilities require thousands of tons of feedstocks to operate and are typically built in relative proximity to feedstock sources to produce cost-competitive biofuels. Appropriate feedstocks from North Carolina’s agriculture and forestry sectors must be identified to supply these facilities.
